What my students say about me:
My students say I offer patience and empathy at the same time that I encourage risk taking; that I offer a space of nurturing love and intention and that they continually come away with creative tools for sharing work, practicing performance, professionalizing and finalizing for publication, and developing ideas. I use the current moment, the historical moment to dive into issues of craft—when you work with me everything is connected and everything is relevant.
"Corinne is such a caring, thoughtful, and creative teacher. They invite important discussions about power and how that shows up in our writing, which I really appreciate because I haven’t always seen teachers intentionally make space for that. I can feel their care and support continue even when I am not taking classes with them."
--LIlian Liang
"One of the many admirable things about Corinne as a teacher is how present they are: they gives their whole, undivided attention to the class, the discussion, and the student."
-Millie Reinhardsen
"Before taking Corinne's class, I was a mere bystander workshopping and judging pieces from a cold distance. In their class, I became joyfully immersed in the stories of my fellow writers—questioning, appreciating, and staying open to their infinite possibilities." --Reni Roxas
