I am the author of the story collection We Had No Rules Arsenal Pulp Press (Spring 2020). Published stories from this collection can be found on my writing page. I am beyond thrilled to share this collection with you.
Additional stories and essays have appeared in Bomb, The Baffler, Bitch, The Brooklyn Rail, Literary Hub, Vol 1 Brooklyn, Drunken Boat, The Oxford American, The Nervous Breakdown, Arts & Letters; anthologized in Towards an Ethics of Activism and Shadow Map: An anthology of Survivors of Sexual Assault (CCM Press). I am at work on a book of Autofiction: Dirty Joke, about familial abuse and Italian American migration and complicity. Basically, it's a retelling of Dante's Divine Comedy, but everyone in hell is Italian American.
In 2018 I was a writer and cast member of Propaganda for The Self, a stage performance directed by Eli Steffen. I’ve also contributed writing to Fox Whitney’s Gender Tender Project MELTED RIOT (June 2020). I've received fellowships from The MacDowell Colony (2015, 2017), 4 Culture, Artist Trust, Jack Straw Media Gallery, The Banff Centre, Mineral School, and The Hub City Writer's Project.
As a community member my focus has been on visibility of underrepresented writers and the necessity to reimagine and recreate the publishing process. The James Franco Review was an experiment in this.
I co-curated the prose radio hybrid The Furnace Reading Series at Hollow Earth Radio in Seattle for four years with Anca Szilagyi.
I grew up in Neptune, NJ where skee ball means winning tickets and saving them for a VCR or at least a spider ring. I work around Seattle as a teaching artist but mostly wear wigs while spending time with my favorite three adults and a toddler. I find myself through photo shoots. Yes, I want to collaborate with you.
